Bridges CORDELE - Sadie Best Bridges, 96, died at Crisp Regional Hospital Wednesday, April 20, 2005. She was born Friday, July 9, 1908 in Bishopville, S.C. and was the daughter of the late Henry Ben Best and Margaret Jane Skinner Best, and the widow of Howard Elliott Bridges, Sr. Mrs. Bridges was a homemaker and a member of Cordele First United Methodist Church. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2005 at Sunnyside Cemetery. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sadie and Charles Glover and Patricia and Joel Haley, all of Cordele; a son and daughter-in-law, John Gordon and Sandra Bridges of Farmington, Missouri; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great- great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Howard Elliot "Sonny" Bridges, Jr. and siblings, Horace Best, Harry Best, Edward Best, Casey Ben Best, Ruth Page Davenport, Jennie Webb and Ruby Best.
